What does it take to put a smile on a child’s face? For these children in Myanmar, it’s school supplies. These supplies mean they can go to school and maybe have a better life.
These are children who have seen what no child should see. They fear the future.
And then someone says, “Your life matters,” by giving them everything they need to go to school. Things their parents could never buy. We know that each child is seen and loved by the living God who has great plans for their lives (Jeremiah 29:11-14).
Firefall friends support hundreds of Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) with food, bedding, clothing and other essentials every month. Each May, at the end of their summer break, we make a special request for school supplies for the children who have no other resources.
Here’s how you can help
Your financial gift of $22 will provide:
A sturdy new backpack
Umbrella (necessary during monsoon rains and tropical heat)
Colorful lunchbox
Textbooks and other books
Writing materials (pencils and paper)
350 children are awaiting these basic supplies to begin school.
Will you consider sponsoring one child (or five, or ten, or more)?
We’ve added photos of last year’s recipients, but we promise to share with you the smiles you help create!
